4 Artsy Things about Dunedin Florida

For a small city, Dunedin has a big art scene. From events to galleries, you don’t have to go far to see fine art at it’s best.

Here are some of the top things you don’t want your inner artist to miss when visiting Beso Del Sol Resort.

Dunedin Fine Art Center

The DFAC has something for everyone. A true community treasure, DFAC offers classes, art exhibits, special events, the Palm Café, and the Gallery Shop where you can buy original pieces of art, jewelry, ceramics and more made by local artisans.

Downtown Dunedin Craft Festival

Every year, hundreds of tents line downtown Dunedin’s Main Street showcasing local, regional and national artists and retailers. Products are all handmade in the U.S.A. and include everything from paintings and sculptures to botanical hotplates, ceramic planters, functional pottery, home décor, hair accessories, handmade jewelry and an expansive Green Market.

Painted Fish Gallery

The Painted Fish has become a destination for art collectors seeking original and custom artwork. The gallery is home to a blend of contemporary paintings, prints & calligraphy, glass, ceramics, jewelry, basketry, wood and fiber arts. They also occasionally have small indoor concerts.

Clay and Paper Gallery of Art

For the more tactile types, the Clay and Paper gallery is chock full of unusual dimensional art: garden art, glass, metal, mosaic, pottery and sculpture to name a few. The gallery is home to artwork from 100 artists and craftsmen.

  1. Victoria,

There is so much more going on with art in Dunedin. I am one of 15 artists who have studios at Stirling Art Studios & Gallery in Downtown Dunedin. We have a new art exhibit each month. The Miniature Art Society has a studio at Stirling. Recently Penny Lane which houses a collection of Beatle’s memorabilia opened. We are located in Stirling Commons which is right across the street from the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce.

    1. Thanks for sharing that information, Margaret. Dunedin seems to be brimming with artists and galleries!
