Why head to New Orleans for Mardi Gras when you can stay right here in Dunedin while staying at the Beso Del Sol Resort!
The 24th Annual Dunedin Mardi Gras Festival is a wholesome event for the whole family with food, entertainment and a colorful parade Tuesday, February 17. Catch the Cajun sounds of Gumbo Boogie in Pioneer Park at 5:30 p.m., which will kick off the event.
The one-hour parade starts at 7:30 p.m. with 50 unique floats and hoards of beads to toss into the crowd. Attendance usually reaches 30,000 visitors and some will come a few hours early for a prime spot along the parade route. If you’re coming from Beso Del Sol, just hop on the Jolley Trolley coastal route!
The band Professor Pennygoode’s Mighty Flea Circus will close out the night from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., but the party doesn’t have to stop there! Plenty of local bars will have their doors open for those not ready for rest!
Admission is free to the event and beer, wine, food and souvenirs are available for purchase. For more information, visit dunedinmardigras.com. If you’re at the Beso Del Sol Resort during Mardi Gras, you can’t miss this!
