Convenient Additions to Dunedin Parking Plan

Awhile back we reported on Dunedin’s hybrid parking system, part of their overall plan to create more parking and more convenience.

The plan has officially entered what the city calls “Parking Plan 2.0”, and next time you visit Beso Del Sol Resort, you may notice more free parking in downtown Dunedin.

The changes in place as a result of “2.0” include:

  • Free parking added on the east and west ends of Main Street for weekday parking until 6 p.m.
  • When we last reported, there were time limits on downtown parking. Now time limits are no longer in effect. People may park for any length of time.
  • A $1.50 an hour rate is applicable during enforced parking times.
  • Free parking lots are still free seven days a week at Dunedin Station Square on Douglas Avenue and Scotland Street and the Edgewater Drive lot between Main Street and Scotland Street

Of course, if you don’t want to deal with driving, you can always take the Jolley Trolley around town or grab a free bike at the resort.

And remember, Beso Del Sol Resort has free parking for guests.

COMMENT: Have you navigated downtown Dunedin by car? Where do you recommend parking?
