Take a day trip from Beso Del Sol Resort to catch the 2017 Firestone Grand Prix race event in St. Petersburg. This year, the event runs which runs from March 10 to 12.

The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg itself is run on a 1.8-mile, 14-turn waterfront circuit that includes a combination of adjacent downtown streets circling Pioneer Park, the Duke Energy Center for the Arts, The Dali Museum and extending onto the runways at Albert Whitted Airport, which overlook the Tampa Bay and picturesque St. Petersburg Harbor and Marina.

The Verizon IndyCar Series is the 110-lap premier open-wheel racing series in the United States, with races held on ovals, permanent road courses and temporary street courses.
The Pirelli World Challenge Championships is North America’s top production car-based championship. It features two separate classes of racing: GT, GTA and GT Cup classes in one race and GTS in another, encompassing four of the weekend’s races.
Joining the line-up will be open-wheel racing’s future stars racing in the development ladder series, including Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires, the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, and the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda.
Back by popular demand are the Stadium Super Trucks, high-powered off-road trucks that race side-by-side on challenging dirt and asphalt tracks with huge jumps, crossovers, whoop sections and many tight corners.
The festival-like atmosphere around the Grand Prix event includes beer gardens, driver autograph sessions, games and exhibits, the Verizon IndCar Series Fan Village and More.
Single day tickets start at $20 for Friday’s races, $35 for races on Saturday and $50 for races on Sunday. Weekend general admission tickets cost $55.
