If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas but still yearn for the Florida sun, Tampa is bringing a true winter experience for the holiday season. If you’re visiting the Beso Del Sol Resort, you can still experience a snow-filled Christmas with these events.
AirHeads Trampoline Arena – December 8, 15 and 22 (noon-5:00 p.m.)
Santa ditches his sleigh and takes to the trampoline on select Sundays in December. Kids can jump along all day for just $16.95 per person.
Christmas Town at Busch Gardens® Tampa – November 29-23
Guests will think they are in a different state all together when they enter the zoo during its 18 nights of Christmas Town with entertainment, live music, festive treats, shopping and more than a million lights. One of the main attractions, SnowWorld® Presented by Coca-Cola®, returns with more snow than ever. It has tripled in size and has new slides and other attractions you can’t find anywhere else in Tampa. Christmas Town is a separate-ticketed night event, and families with children ages 3 to 9 will enjoy special $10 advance tickets for their youngest members.
Wild Wonderland at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo – Dec. 7, 13-15, 17-23 and 26-30 from 6:30-10 p.m.
Meet Santa and his real-life reindeer and some adorable penguins! Other bonuses include a 100-foot ice slide, massive light displays, free zoo rides and treats. On December 13, watch the Presents for Primates with your Zoo admission where the primates will open special presents from the staff as part of their enrichment program!
Holiday FantaSea – December 26-30
Just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean the seasonal fun has to stop. There will be real snow, dazzling holiday lights and more as the Florida Aquarium will extend its hours so you can enjoy all the fun! Santa and his elves will even take to the water with mermaids and will swim with the sea creatures. You’ll also find a huge model train display and two spectacular light shows each night.
Tampa Downtown on Ice – Open daily except Thanksgiving Day until January 5, 2014
Experience the area’s only true outdoor ice rink in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Admission is $10 per person for a 90-minute session and includes rental skates.
While you’re visiting Beso Del Sol Resort in delightful Dunedin, a short 45 minute drive will take you to a magical winter escape.
